So, I’m kind of a sucker for a pretty melody, as in some not all 70’s pop. So, sue me. Ah, I could be dating myself. As said, we like to take some of our favorite Pop tunes and put our own unique spin on them, maybe adding or subtracting, adding a different feel. We just inserted a two-chord solo vamp in the middle of this, and it has been a favorite tune to play out. Crowd and bandmates generally love the tune, as long as we don’t stretch those two chords out too long in the solo, ha-ha. I was watching on TV for a few minutes an older couple in 30-minute infomercial hawking collections of 70’s pop, with accompanying videos, and who was it but David Pack from Ambrosia, the composer of Biggest Part…like 40 years later! Okay! Then, so many great tunes from the 70’s! We all got to eat! Then who am I to judge or make up reasons?
